Breakingthconcretecover Stories from the American Urban Farm: An Evening with David and Michael Hanson
$0.00

Thank you to all the great people who made this a successful event!

Thursday, February 23, 6 PM - 8 PM

DIG Gardens, 420 Water Street, Santa Cruz

People have always grown food in urban spaces—on windowsills and sidewalks, and in backyards and neighborhood parks—but today, urban farmers are leading an environmental and social movement that transforms our national food system.

Brothers David and Michael Hanson and urban farmer Edwin Marty traveled the country for two months in a veggie-grease-powered bus exploring this agricultural renaissance. Their resulting book beautifully documents twelve successful urban farm programs, including Santa Cruz's own Homeless Garden Project.

Join us, author David Hanson and photographer Michael Hanson  for an evening of appetizers, wine, and inspiring presentation about how urban farms are creating strong, healthy communities.  Learn more about Homeless Garden Project's programs and Community Supported Agriculture shares.

Thank you to Beauregard Vineyards and DIG Gardens for their support of this event.

No paper tickets; your name will be added to our guest list.
