Take a breath of fresh spring air as you munch on this fragrant confection. This lovely medley of our farm’s handpicked lavender and fresh ingredients are sure to impress the crankiest of in-laws.
Ingredients: Organic unbleached flour, Organic sugar, Organic dried Lavender buds (from our garden) and sea salt.
Directions: Preheat oven to 325. Whisk the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Cut cold butter into pieces and cut into dry mixture using two knives or a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs. Do not allow the butter to soften or melt. Add vanilla and mix to a stiff dough.
Break off pieces and form into 1-inch balls. Flatten the balls slightly and place onto an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Makes approximately 16 1-inch cookies.
