For EBT members, we require an up-front deposit equivalent to 2 weeks of produce to be applied and redeemed through the last 2 pickups of the season. This helps us reserve your spot and ensure enough produce for all members. EBT members will be then be charged through CalFresh benefits bi-weekly for a total of 11 equal payments (13 if signed up for the Fall Extension).

 The 2023 CSA harvest season runs 23-weeks from May 19th through October 20th. Pick up a weekly basket of organic vegetables, flowers, herbs and fruit grown by trainees, staff and volunteers at the Homeless Garden Project organic farm. Each share will feed approximately 4 adults and includes a bouquet of flowers.

"Pick-up" shares are picked up on Fridays, from 2:30 - 6:00 PM at our Natural Bridges Farm. 

"U-Pick" shares are harvested by you--the shareholder--at Natural Bridges Farm each week during our harvest season.  U-Pick members harvest their share on Fridays from Noon - 6 PM, or Saturdays 10 AM - 3 PM.

  • Our base Pick-Up CSA Share season rate is: $700
  • Add our Fall Extension for 4 additional weeks of Pick-up shares, running from October 27th - November 17th: $120
  • We are excited to continue to offer our value-added add on - for a delicious HGP food or bath + body product every other week during the regular season (12 total), including lotions, seasonings, baking mixes, and more: $120

CSA Membership Commitment - I fully understand this commitment.  As an HGP CSA member, I agree to pay my share price in full, according to the payment plan I have signed up for.  In return, HGP will provide me with freshly harvested seasonal produce for 23 weeks.  I assume responsibility to collect my share on the specified day and recognize the season's weather will determine the produce I receive.  Thank you!  We are extremely grateful to you for your direct participation in our program and for helping to fulfill our mission.

For EBT members, we can only accept payments 2 weeks in advance and will charge CalFresh benefits every other week for the term of the 23- week season at time of pickup. If there are insufficient funds we require payment in cash, check, or credit/ debit for the remainder of the 2 weeks of produce.
2 periods of non-payment result in a forfeit of the deposit at which point members are expected to pay the last 2 weeks of produce from CalFresh benefits or any of our other accepted payment methods rather than applying the deposit to the transaction.
