      India Joze Chai Concentrate

A message from Joseph Schultz of India Joze:

"I founded India Joze Restaurant in 1972 as a venue to explore the cuisines of the world and touch upon the mysterious joy we all feel when we experience a food completely unknown to us, answering a longing we scarcely knew we had, but now knew we could not forget.

It was a long process through which this India-inspired aromatized tea became a distillation of the Joze Experience; accessible, surprising, distinctive, unforgettable, adaptable to many tastes and proclivities. Special equipment and unique processes made it possible for me to home in on exactly the balance of spice and sweet that sings to me.

Though India Joze the Restaurant is no more, and the foods and fun we were famous for only surface in special events, this concentrated creation evokes for us and hopefully for you the artistic camaraderie of Santa Cruz at its finest.

In a world where so much has only the brand, but not the touch of its creator, in contrast every drop of Joze Chai is transformed with my careful ministrations."

      Best chai around!

India Joze’ chai is delicious and as long as the Homeless Garden Project carries it, we’ll keep buying it because we’ve realized we need to keep a jar on hand in the fridge.

      a rich, balanced chai

If you were fortunate enough to know any of the India Joze restaurants then you know this chai. It is wonderful! I drink it hot or cold, and I like that I can make it decaf, and that I can prepare it with whatever "dairy" beverage I wish: soy, oat, cashew, cow milk, etc. This chai makes a great gift. It goes a long way, and is way cheaper than buying your cup of chai.
